I’m sure that you know, the pandemic has forced us to make some pretty radical changes. Prior to the pandemic, Studio Tenn, backed by patrons like you, was building great momentum. The company had: 

• Recruited new leadership from Los Angeles - Artistic Director, Patrick Cassidy,

• Created and were days away from announcing a new season with a different look that was driven by audience feedback,

• Paid off old debt,

• Moved to more suited, economical offices and rehearsal spaces.

Then COVID-19 hit. Studio Tenn was forced to make changes, but Studio Tenn was not stopped. The team pivoted and found new ways to keep creating, to keep teaching, to keep inspiring. 

Studio Tenn also met the challenges of the moment by applying for and receiving Cares Act PPP, SVOG, and EIDL funding, reducing its rental facility footprint, and by furloughing valuable employees. This final move left the company with a staff of only three people, but as board member, Lynne McAlister likes to say, “We are challenged, but not panicked!” The challenges are only helping us become stronger, but to ensure viability, continued growth, and that The Show Will Go On, we need your support!

• Our new virtual educational program and first-ever educational scholarship fund,

• Local arts collaboration and unity that has only been strengthened by the pandemic,

• The future, as we move into a bright new era under the leadership of Artistic Director, Patrick Cassidy.
