COVID SAFETY OFFICER
DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT
Area of Responsibility: Development
Wage Classification: Full Time, exempt
Position Summary: The Development Director, a key member of Studio Tenn Theatre Company’s administration team, is responsible for the cultivation and maintenance of all aspects of fundraising to advance the mission of the organization. The Director of Development reports to the Managing Director.
Fundraising activities include:
Annual campaign - individual, corporate and foundation giving including major gifts Sponsorship - title and presenting sponsors for all seasonal productions
Special Events – underwriting for annual gala, creation and implementation of additional fundraising events
Government grants – maintain current grant application and narrative deadlines, write new grant applications and research new grant/fundraising opportunities
Responsibilities:
Create, plan and implement new and creative strategies to strengthen the annual campaign
Research, network and develop proposals for sponsorships
Develop a comprehensive online giving program
Work with the Board of Directors and Advisory Board, Development Committee and other volunteers in identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding major gifts
Prepare board members for cultivation and solicitation activities and partner with them in the implementation thereof
Maintain relationships with funders, professional development groups and represent Studio Tenn in the community
Plan and oversee annual premiere fundraising events and other special events
Meet all reporting deadlines and donor updates
Oversee the collection of data on contributors and the database
Work with marketing and communication team to unify branding and messaging
Oversee the production of all development documents and materials
Create, establish and update key contributor documents, i.e. gift acceptance and planned giving policies
Maintain and implement effective development systems and policies
Other Administrative duties as needed
Work Requirements and Qualifications:
Education: Well-qualified candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications or nonprofit leadership with extensive fundraising experience. Other experience includes, but is not limited to, public relations, prospecting and business development.
A strong track record of securing major gifts
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong persuasive writing skills, strong verbal communication and the ability to interact at the executive level with board members and donors
Ability to work in Microsoft Word and Excel
Effective project management skills, including setting and meeting deadlines
Ability to make decisions and creatively solve problems
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills

COVID SAFETY OFFICER
Classification: seasonal, non-exempt
Reports to: Production Manager
Position Summary:
The COVID Safety Officer is a key position on the Studio Tenn Management team. This position coordinates and oversees implementation of all COVID related safety efforts within Studio Tenn Theatre Company and continues to develop and revise those efforts as COVID safety related policies change. The COVID Safety Officer will work hand in hand with all departments to oversee the safety of all actors and staff as a top priority.
Areas of Responsibility:
Work with the Studio Tenn Management team to create onboarding packets for employees and those working on a per show basis, detailing and updating standard COVID related procedures as needed.
Lead, coordinate, and oversee COVID Training Sessions.
Collaborate with Production and Department Heads to develop standard COVID policies and procedures to ensure that all departments are following current guidelines.
Stay informed and up to date regarding COVID policies amongst the theatre industry, local city/state recommendations, and advice of medical experts to make sure protocols remain up to date.
Working with Studio Tenn Management team and Production, oversee the implementation of COVID screening and testing of employees, actors, creative staff, and other select individuals.
Manage, oversee and track safety expenses and maintain up-to-date records of staff safety training and required certification.
Successful candidates will have:
Current knowledge of COVID protocols for the theatre and entertainment industry
Skill, knowledge, and experience working in a theatre or equivalent experience
Familiarity with Actors Equity Association COVID protocols and practices
Demonstrable actions advocating for the importance of inclusion, diversity, equity, and access in their professional and personal lives.
A deep commitment to working with diverse groups in terms of gender expression, race, sexual orientation, religion, ability, age, class, and immigrant status.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational/project management skills and attention to detail.
Proactive attitude and approach to all responsibilities under their purview
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to quickly adapt to the needs of the organization and employees, as protocols change.
