Poster and Usher Volunteers

Studio Tenn utilizes the help of volunteers to deliver posters throughout the community, as well as serve as ushers per show, and we can’t do it without you!

  • Poster volunteers are given 20 posters per location to deliver to designated lists of local business. Must be 16+ with available transportation. Per 20 posters, poster volunteers receive two complimentary tickets to the performance for which they volunteer.

  • Usher volunteers are to arrive one hour prior to the designated performance time and must be able to stay for the entirety of the performance. Usher volunteers will receive instructions upon arrival. Suggested attire is black and/or white and suggested age is 13+. Usher volunteers are assigned seating to enjoy the performance during its run.

Costume Shop Volunteers

Studio Tenn is looking for high school juniors and seniors with interest in costuming to aid with production needs! Costume shop volunteers with receive four complimentary tickets to our private preview performances.

  • Must be available Thursdays, Fridays or Saturdays, 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. Volunteers have the ability to select one day per week to aid.

  • Time/date commitments negotiable.

  • Theatre, costume and/or stitching experience preferred. Six-week minimum commitment required.

Scenic Shop Volunteers

We are looking for volunteers 18+ who are willing to work in warm conditions and have the ability to lift at least 50 lbs. Scenic shop volunteers with receive four complimentary tickets to our private preview performances.

  • Must be available Wednesdays, Fridays or Saturdays, 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. Volunteers have the ability to select one day per week to aid.

  • Background in tech theater, scene shop, carpentry and/or welding preferred. Six-week minimum commitment required. Closed-toed shoes required.

Artist Volunteer Program

We are eager to involve great artists from our community to help us build and operate Studio Tenn on every level. By doing so we hope to entertain, enrich, and inspire the communities around us. 

Volunteer duties will span a range of responsibilities including assisting with building sets, sewing costumes, administrative work, load in and load out, and hanging posters to ushering, merchandising, or being a special event volunteer. There are many ways to get involved with Studio Tenn.

Professional Opportunities

Studio Tenn Theatre Company is looking to add to our database of qualified Theatrical Artists and Theatre Technicians.  Are you a freelance artist who is new to the Nashville area or willing to work in the Nashville area on a contract basis?  We would love to cultivate any new and developing talent in the growing Middle-Tennessee area (and beyond) to fill various production jobs throughout the year and in seasons to come.

POSITIONS INCLUDE: Directors, Music Directors, Choreographers, Stage Management, Lighting crew (load-ins/load-outs), Set Crew (load-ins/load-outs), Carpenters /Set Construction, Scenic Painters, Props, Spotlight Operators, Sound Cue Operators, Lighting Board Operators, Stitchers, Dressers, and Wardrobe Supervisors.
